Volleyball Hires Broadt as Director of Operations
6.2.17 | Women's Volleyball
PHILADELPHIA -- Temple volleyball has announced the hiring of Jason Broadt as the Owls' Director of Operations beginning with the 2017 season. Broadt enters the role after serving as one of the team's managers while completing his undergraduate degree.
"We're excited to have Jason on board, he's no stranger to the program," said Head Coach Bakeer Ganesharatnam. "He's worked as a student manager, he's familiar with how we operate, and I think it will be a seamless transition."
Broadt earned his Bachelor of Science in Sport and Recreation Management from Temple in 2017, and will be pursuing a Master's Degree on campus. Aside from his work with the volleyball team, he's contributed to many different aspects of Temple's Athletics Department, including interning in both the player development and operations areas for Temple Football, and as a game day media assistant for the Owls' Athletic Communications department.
"I'm excited to work with the program again," noted Broadt. "We have a great staff and great players and I'm looking forward to doing what I can to help the team succeed."
Broadt will be responsible for planning Temple's team travel, hiring and supervising team managers, and managing community service initiatives. The 2017 season begins on August 25, when the Owls head to the Maryland Invitational.
