Six Women's Rowers Named National Scholar-Athletes

PHILADELPHIA -- Six members of the Temple women's rowing team were honored by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) with Scholar Athlete Awards. Seniors Kaitlin Grisanti, Emilie Mehler, and Lea Millio all made the list for Temple, as did sophomores Allie Nussbaum, Ciara O'Sullivan, and Danielle Ober. 

Grisanti, Mehler, and Millio are all repeat selections for the national honor, having earned recognition in 2016. Nussbaum, O'Sullivan, and Ober all earn the honor in their first year of eligibility. 

To be eligible for the CRCA National Scholar-Athlete honor, student-athletes were required to have a 3.5 cumulative GPA, be in their second, third or fourth year of eligibility and, rowed in her institution's NCAA or IRA eligible boat for a minimum of 75 percent of the current spring races or race in a conference regatta.
