Men's Crew Opens Fall at King's Head Regatta

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple men's crew team opened the fall portion of their racing schedule on Sunday at the Upper Merion Boat Club King's Head Regatta.
RESULTS OVERVIEW
> Temple entered three boats, two club eights and a pair.
> The "A" eight won gold, while the "B" eight took silver, both competing in the club eight race.
> Temple's pair entry won their event in a three-boat field.
CLUB EIGHT RACE
> "A" Lineup: Vecchione (C), Gennaro, Buckley, Theuret, Grochowski, McKinney, Legendre, Wittenstein, Nguyen.
> "B" Lineup: Lorenz (C), Graciano, Stewart, Leeds, Boyd, Brecht, Frye, Cox, Olimpo.
> Temple's "A" boat finished in 15:22.33 to win the race.
> Temple's "B" boat was just over 13 seconds behind, finishing in 15:35.71.
> Both Temple boats topped Baltimore Rowing Club and the USMMA.
PAIRS
> Lineup: Olimpo, Ching.
> The winning boat from Undine Barge Club clocked in at 16:36.44.
> Temple's pair was first in a time of 18:07.66, outpacing two other boats.
UP NEXT
> Temple will race at the Lehigh Invitational on Saturday.
> The event will take place on Lake Nockamixon in Quakertown, Pa.
