Women’s Soccer Wins Second Straight; Owls Top Mount St. Mary’s

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple women's soccer team (3-3-0) picked up their second home victory in a row, as the Owls got a 2-0 win over Mount St. Mary's (3-3-0) on Sunday. In her second career start, sophomore goalkeeper Morgan Basileo got her second win and helped the Owls get their first shutout of season with seven saves.

> The Owls started things off in the 15th minute when senior Gabriella McKeown scored her first goal of the season off an assist from freshman Emma Wilkins.
> McKeown scored again in the 35th minute off an assist from junior Kerri McGinley to put the Owls up 2-0.
> Basileo was tested early and made five crucial saves in the first half to keep the Mountaineers scoreless.
> Basileo and the Temple defense fended off nine shots in the second half to preserve the shutout win.
