Track & Field Set for Fastrack National

PHILADELPHIA - On Friday, Feb. 9, Temple track and field is slated for competition at the Fastrack National Invite. The action begins for the Owls at 1 p.m. with the unseeded 3000-meter run, long jump, and shot put.
Scouting the Owls
> At th Villanova Invite on Feb. 3, sophomore Ebonee Jackson's time of 7.85 in the 60-meter dash qualified for the finals, where she ultimately placed seventh overall with a final time of 7.79. The sophomore also represented the Owls in the 200-meter dash where she ran a personal best time of 25.27. Jackson will compete in both events at Ocean Breeze on Friday.Â
> Sydney Williams placed sixth overall last weekend in the 60-meter hurdles finals with a time of 8.87. The freshman will be featured in the event on Friday.
> On Saturday, freshman Mallorie Smith earned a top-10 finish in the 400-meter dash. Smith completed the race in a personal best time 58.37, placing seventh overall. Smith is set to represent the Owls in both the 400-meter dash and the 200-meter dash on Friday.
> The Owls will also enter a distance medley relay (DMR) team at the Fastrack National Invite. On Jan. 26 at Penn State, Temple's DMR team comprised of Millie Howard, Mallorie Smith, Helene Gottlieb, and Lucy Jones posted a program-best indoor DMR time of 11:42.9.
