2009: Played in nine games with four starts … received the starting nod against Ohio, Kent State, Akron and Miami … finished the season 26-of-65 for 514 yards and three touchdowns … also rushed for two TDs … went 7-of-22 for 92 yards at Ohio … threw 6-of-16 for 124 yards and a touchdown in the win over Kent State … went 6-of-11 for 145 yards and two touchdowns in the win at Akron … also rushed for two touchdowns against the Zips en route to Honorable Mention Helmet Stickers … went 6-of-11 for 143 yards against Miami … played one series in the win at Toledo … threw 1-of-2 for 10 yards … played one series behind center in the win over Army … had four carries at No. 5 Penn State … had a four-yard reception and a 16-yard run against Villanova ... lettered.

2008:
Played in 11 games with three starts under center ... in six games at QB, went 53-of-106 for 524 yards and four touchdowns ... played on the punt unit at Army, Connecticut, and Buffalo ... at Army played on the last series, going one-for-one for seven yards ... directed the offense for four games in Adam DiMichele[apos]s absence ... took the reins in the first quarter at No. 16/15 Penn State ... in his first significant appearance, went 16-for-30 for 116 yards, including a 28-yard reception to WR Jason Harper ... started the next three games ... against Western Michigan went 10-for-20 for 60 yards while rushing for 29 yards in his first start ... in his second start, completed 11 of 23 passes for a season-high 178 yards, , including a key 43-yard TD toss to WR Bruce Francis in the fourth quarter, and three touchdowns at Miami (Ohio) ... the passing touchdowns were the first of career ... at Central Michigan, went 15-of-32 for 163 yards and a touchdown ... his 58-yard pass to Harper in the second quarter was a career-long throw ... also had a career-long rush of 22 yards ... his two-point conversion toss to TE Steve Maneri was the team[apos]s first attempt and completion of the season ... lettered.
