A pair of Temple baseball players, junior Ryan Ferguson and sophomore Foster Dunigan, have been named to their summer league all-star teams. Ferguson was one of three Elmira Pioneers named to the New York Collegiate Baseball League All-Star game, while Dunigan was named to the Clark Griffith League All-Star team as a member of the DC Grays.
Temple senior outfielder Sean Barksdale has been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-East Region first team, in voting conducted by the head coaches of 30 teams. He is the first Owl to receive ABCA all-region honors since Pete Moore was named to the second team in 1999. Barksdale also earned second team All-ECAC honors last week. Read More >
Temple senior outfielder Sean Barksdale has been selected by the Houston Astros in the 38th round (1,151st overall) of the 2009 Major League Draft on Thursday. He is the first Owl to be drafted since 1999 when Joe Kerrigan, Jr. went in the 46th round to the Boston Red Sox. Read More >
