Temple pitcher Greg Powell earned a victory in both games of a doubleheader against Duquesne on Saturday, April 8.

Powell, a 1997 graduate of Council Rock High School, entered the first game against the Dukes in relief of starter

Jeff Rugg. Powell pitched four solid innings yielding only one run and striking out five to help lift the Owls to

5-3 victory. In game two, the 6-3 righty pitched a complete game giving up only one run on three hits and striking

out six. The Owls won game two 6-1.

Sunday's game against Duquesne was postponed. It was rescheduled for Monday, April 10 at 3:00 p.m. at Erny Field.
