With the Owls trailing, 8-7, with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Temple catcher Jeff Roma ripped a three-run home run to lift the Owls over the La Salle 10-8. It was Roma's first home run of the season and it capped off a six-run ninth inning for the Owls. Temple had 10 runs on 14 hits. Junior Bob Filler was 3-for-5 and was a home run shy of hitting for the cycle. Jim Tully, Rob Cucinotta, Mike Jenkins and Roma all chipped in with two hits apiece. Sophomore pitcher Brandon Bruno got the win in relief. With the win, the Owls improve to 16-26-3. La Salle drops to 8-32. Temple will next face Hofstra on May 2 at 3:30 p.m. at Erny Field.
