Oct. 22, 2008 AMBLER, PA - The Temple baseball team will conclude its non-traditional fall season with the Cherry and White Fall Classic beginning on Friday, October 24. The Owls will be divided into a Cherry team and a White team and play a best of seven series consisting of three-inning games. Games one through three will be played on Friday beginning at 3:30 p.m. while games four through seven are on Sunday at 9:30 a.m due to impending rain on Saturday. The series will be played at Skip Wilson Field in Ambler, PA. "We always look forward to ending the fall season with the Cherry and White Fall Classic," head coach Rob Valli said. "The team has been working hard and we anticipate a competitive series." Senior Matt Mongiardini will manage the White team, while junior Kyle Monahan will guide the Cherry team. The teams were drafted yesterday following practice and are listed below. Assistant AD Kevin Bonner will throw out the ceremonial first pitch on Friday, while athletic trainer Mark Rice will throw out Sunday's first pitch. Following Sunday's games, there will be a barbeque for players and their families. White team
