PHILADELPHIA - Temple University announced its Atlantic 10 Conference opponents for the 2008-09 men's basketball season. The 2008 A-10 Champion Owls will once again play both Philadelphia area teams - La Salle and Saint Joseph's twice, while also playing home and away with Rhode Island.

Other A-10 opponents on the Cherry and White home schedule will be Charlotte, Fordham, Richmond, St. Bonaventure and Saint Louis.

The Owls will travel to both Ohio schools, playing at perennial NCAA Tournament team Xavier and Dayton. Also among the Temple A-10 road opponents are Duquense, George Washington and Massachusetts.

The top 12 regular-season finishers will be invited to the Atlantic 10 Championship - to be played at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. on Mar. 11-14, 2009.

Temple will announce its non-conference portion of its schedule in the near future.
