SAN DIEGO, CA -- Temple Men's Crew competed at the San Diego Crew Classic this weekend.  In Saturday's heats the Varsity 8 finished fourth to earn a spot in Sunday's Copley Cup Petite Final.  The Owls raced to a second place finish in the final.

The Varsity 8 was comprised of Michael Fitzpatrick (cox), Andreas Mantzoukas (stroke), Thomas Burke (7-seat), Dante Cammarata (6-seat), Joe Spencer (5-seat), Michael McVeigh (4-seat), Pat McMahon (3-seat), Logan Hoffman (2-seat), and Mike Shisler (bow).  Navy won Saturday's heat in a time of 6:03.97 followed by Northeastern (6:06.80), Purdue (6:18.29), and Temple (6:22.79).

North Carolina won the Petite Final in a time of 6:15.1 followed by Temple (6:19.28), and UC Davis (6:19.97).

The Cherry and White compete again next weekend at the GW Invitational in Washington, DC.
