PHILADELPHIA-- With a time of 5:40.3 the Temple University Men's Crew regained the Varsity 8 Dad Vail Regatta title on Saturday afternoon, May 10, 2003 on the Schuylkill River.
The Owls took the title from rival Dowling who, last year, defeated Temple for the first time in 13 years. This year, the Owls beat Dowling by over seven seconds.
The men's junior varsity eight also took place in the two-day regatta with a time of 6:01.30.
Next up for the men's varsity crew is the International Rowing Association Championships later this month.
