• Temple Game Captains: #15 WR Dy'Onne Curdup (offense), #59 C Alex Derenthal (offense), #92 DT Terrance Knighton, #21 DB Dominique Harris (defense), and #46 LB John Haley (special teams).

• Carrying flags for Temple today were #18 WR Jason Harper, #19 WR Nyles Bynum,, and #28 CB Evan Cooper.

• Redshirt senior QB Adam DiMichele is the first injured player under Al Golden to receive an invitation to travel with the Owls. He was on the sideline for today's contest.

• Today Temple opened play for the month of October with a win, its first in MAC play this fall. In 2007, TU went a perfect 3-0 during the month, the 14th time in school history the Owls went undefeated during October. In 1931 Temple played the most October games, finishing 4-0-1.

• In all six games this fall, Temple has held its opponent scoreless in the first quarter. For the fourth time this season, the Owls have held the opponent scoreless at halftime. For the fifth time this season, Temple has led at haltime.

• Senior PK Anthony Perlozzo saw his first action for the Cherry & White. In the first quarter, he missed a career-long 44-yard field goal attempt before converting four points after touchdown. His career-long FG was 40 yards as a sophomore in 2006 at La Salle. Perlozzo transferred to Temple after La Salle dropped its football program this year. He played for three seasons for the Explorers and walked on the Temple team this fall.
 

 

• True freshman CB Kee-ayre Griffin saw his first action in the backfield today, finishing with 36 yards on six carries. He scored his first collegiate touchdown in the first quarter, a 25-yard run, to put Temple on the scoreboard.

• True freshman DB Kevin Kroboth also lined up at wide receiver for the first time today. He also plays on the four special teams units.

• In his second career start, redshirt freshman QB Chester Stewart completed 11 of 23 passes for 178 yards and three touchdowns.

• Redshirt senior DE Leyon Azubuike saw his first action of the season today, returning from an undisclosed injury.

• R-senior C Alex Derenthal has started 41 consecutive games.

• For the second consecutive week, a season-high 16 freshmen, including 13 true freshmen, saw action in today's game.

• Senior WR Bruce Francis has made a reception in 32 consecutive games. His two TD receptions tied his career-high for a game. He now has five on the season.

• Redshirt junior QB Colin Clancy saw his first action since 2005 at quarterback, playing in the final series.
