• Temple Game Captains: #13 QB Adam DiMichele (offense), #82 WR Bruce Francis (offense), #92 DT Terrance Knighton, #21 DB Dominique Harris (defense), and #25 DB Richard Sheppard (special teams).

• Carrying flags for Temple today were #18 WR Jason Harper, #86 TE Steve Maneri, and #47 PK Jake Brownell.

• For just the second time this season, Temple did not lead at the half. [The other game was at Penn State.] The Owls have led at halftime during six of eight games this fall.

• Redshirt senior QB Adam DiMichele started tonight's contest, marking his first appearance since the Penn State game. He went nine-of-22 for 79 yards and one touchdown.

• R-senior C Alex Derenthal has started 43 consecutive games.

• Senior WR Bruce Francis has made a reception in 34 consecutive games.

• A total of 15 freshmen, including 12 true freshmen, saw action in tonight's game.

• In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, minimum of 10 percent of all single-game ticket sales for tonight's game benefited the Philadelphia affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Donations were also collected from fans at the gates. The Temple football team voted to donate its weekly per diem ($1,300) to the cause, while the coaches and staff contributed additionally cash to make the team's donation $3,000.
 

 

• Tonight's game was televised live nationally by ESPN2. Eight of the Owls' 12 games this season will be televised, the second highest in program history [10 games in 2000 season].

• Temple alumnus Bill Cosby ('61) participated in the coin toss. He played football and ran track for the Owls.

• Lauren Hart, daughter of legendary NHL Hall of Fame announcer Gene Hart, sang the national anthem.

• Additional special guests included Philadelphia native and former Eagle WR Vince Papale, #77 OL Phil Bogle and the Soul Man, mascot of the 2008 Arena Football League champion Philadelphia Soul.

• Tonight's win is Temple's first at home this fall in three tries. Tonight's game is Temple's only home game during the month of October.

• For the second consecutive year, Temple and Ohio have met on a weeknight. Last fall, the squads played on a Friday night. In non-Saturday games this fall, Temple stands 2-0 [Friday at Army; Tuesday vs. Ohio] and has two non-Saturday games remaining [Wednesday at Kent State, Friday vs. Akron].
