• Temple Game Captains: #13 QB Adam DiMichele (offense), #59 Alex Derenthal (offense), #82 WR Bruce Francis (offense), #21 DB Dominique Harris (defense), and #92 DT Terrance Knighton (defense).

• Carrying flags for Temple today were #88 TE Kevin Armstrong, #52 DE Brian Sanford, and #32 LB Quinten White, Jr.

• Navy is the first team to score a touchdown on its opening drive against the Owls. The only other team to score on its opening drive against Temple this fall was Ohio which had a field goal.

• For the third time this season, Temple scored on its opening drive. However, the Owls scored their first touchdown against Navy. In the opening drives against Connecticut and Western Michigan, TU scored on field goals.

• Sophomore CB Jamal Schulters' blocked kick in the second quarter is the first of his collegiate career. It is also the first for Temple this fall.

• Senior DT Terrance Knighton' blocked extra point in the fourth quarter was his first of the season and fourth blocked kick of his career. He blocked three kicks during the 2007 season.

• Redshirt senior QB Adam DiMichele opened play with a perfect six-for-six in passing, including a four-yard touchdown reception to TE Steve Maneri in the opening drive. DiMichele finished with a career-high 340 yards, completing 21-of-28 passes with three touchdowns for the game.
 

 

• QB Adam DiMichele's two 49-yard touchdown passes to WR Bruce Francis in the third quarter are the team's longest receptions this year. The previous high was 46 yards to WR James Nixon vs. Connecticut.

• True freshman TB Kee-ayre Griffin rushed for a career-high 87 yards on a career-high 29 carries. He has scored a rushing touchdown in each of his four games playing at tailback.

• Senior WR Bruce Francis had a career-high 151 receiving yards today. He also tied his career high of two receiving touchdowns. He is now tied as Temple's career leader in receiving touchdowns with 18 in his career.

• Sophomore DB Jaiquawn Jarrett's interception at the end of the third quarter is his second this season and the second of his career.

• Former Owl kicker Don Bitterlich (1973-75), who holds the school record for scoring the most points in a season with 95 points from 1975, served as a guest coach today. Also on the sideline as guest coaches were Michael Busch (Maryland Speaker of the House, Temple '70) and Bob Tarola (Temple '73).

• Today's game was televised live nationally by CBS College Sports Network. Eight of the Owls' 12 games this season will be televised, the second highest in program history [10 games in 2000 season].

• R-senior C Alex Derenthal has started 44 consecutive games.

• Senior WR Bruce Francis has made a reception in 35 consecutive games.

• A total of 14 freshmen, including 12 true freshmen, saw action in today's game.
