Dr. George Edberg-Olson passed away on Monday afternoon. For more than six decades, Dr. Edberg-Olson was a dedicated fan and financial supporter of Temple University Athletics. In 2000, he gave a $1 million bequest for the Temple football complex which bears his name.
For the second consecutive year, Temple football rewrote attendance records for its five sessions of the annual Al Golden Football Camp. A total of 1,854 campers visited the Philadelphia campus, including a school record 661 high school student-athletes during the first session alone. Kickoff times and televised games for the 2009 Temple University football season were announced on Wednesday.
