FARMINGDALE, NY - The Temple golf team shot a three-round 887 (290-305-292) to finish 13th at The McLaughlin, played September 22-23 at Bethpage Country Club. Senior Logan Terry carded a final round 68 to lead the Owls and finish tied for 17th overall in the 82-player field. Akron won the 16-team tournament with an 835 (273-286-276) effort, two strokes ahead of host St. John's. The Zips also boasted the individual champion, as Blake Sattler carded a 204 (65-71-68=204). Owl sophomore Adam Pifer scored a 220 (70-75-75) to complement Terry's performance and finish tied for 41st. Paul Amess (t-64th, 75-77-73=225), James Boose (75th, 75-79-76=230) and Kevin Busteed (81st, 74-78-82=234) rounded-out the cherry & white scorecard. Temple, under the direction of third-year coach Brian Rogers, returns to the links at the Scotty Duncan Memorial, October 7-8, in Wilmington, Del.
