2008 Temple Fall Golf Schedule

PHILADELPHIA - A challenging slate of five tournaments highlights the 2008 Temple fall golf schedule, second-year head coach Brian Quinn announced today. In addition to hosting the Big 5 Championship at Philadelphia Cricket Club in October, the Owls will travel to four competitive tournaments this fall.

Temple will open up the campaign at the Rutgers Invitational on September 12-13. The Owls will then take flight to the Adams Cup of Newport, hosted by the University of Rhode Island, September 22-23. The event is perennially one of the top tournaments on the East Coast, with five teams ranked in GolfStat's top 100 in last year's field.

Next up is a trip to the St. Bonaventure Invitational at Barlett CC on October 5-6, before returning home to host the Big 5 Championship on October 11-12. The fall slate concludes on October 27-28 at the Old Dominion/Seascape Invitational in Kitty Hawk, NC. Five teams in last year's ODU field were ranked in GolfStat's top 150.

Quinn returns all seven letterwinners from last year's squad, which last spring posted its best score at the Atlantic 10 Championship in six seasons. Academic All-American Paul Amess (73.9 stroke average) is back as a redshirt senior, along with sophomore Sasha Bozic (75.3), junior Eric Plisko (75.4) sophomore Andrew Mason (76.3), senior Kevin Busteed (78.2), sophomore Joseph Kim (78.3) and senior Adam Pifer (78.7).
