PHILADELPHIA - Temple senior golfer Kevin Busteed has been named the Atlantic 10 Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday. Busteed carded a career-best 68 (-2) on Sunday to lead the Owls to a fourth place finish at The McLaughin at Bethpage Red Golf Course. Busteed's three-round score of 70-73-68=211 (+1) was two shots off the lead and also a career-low. He tied for sixth in the 93-player field, his best finish in his collegiate career, and it also marked his first top 20 finish. The Peckville, PA native currently leads the Owls with a 72.0 stroke average. He owns a 77.3 average in 38 career rounds at TU. He has now set career-low scores in his past two events, after carding a 70 last weekend at Rutgers . Temple is currently competing at the Adams Cup of Newport, hosted by the University of Rhode Island, at Newport National Golf Course.
