Annapolis, Md. -- The Temple golf team, behind the play of junior Christian Bartolacci, placed second in the Navy Fall Golf Invitational at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Course this weekend. Penn State won the tournament after a playoff and finished one stroke ahead of the Owls. Bartolacci shot a 138 but lost a playoff for the top spot to Scott Phillis of Penn State, giving the Nittany Lions the win. As a team Temple shot 578, one stroke behind the Lions' 577. Bartolacci shot a one over par 72 on day one of the tournament and then a tournament low 66 on the final day to drive the Owls. Freshman Eric Ramsey (73-70-143) finished tied for No. 8, followed by junior Mark Watt (72-75-147), senior Steve Probst (75-77-152) and freshman Garren poirier (77-75-152).
