PHILADELPHIA -- Temple's Nyika White secured a spot in the 2003 NCAA Men's Gymnastics event finals on Sunday, April 13 at the Liacouras Center, for his performance on still rings.
The top eight finishers and one alternate in each event from Saturday's competition advanced to Sunday's finals. White's score of 9.625 placed him in third place entering the finals.
Oklahoma was crowned the 2003 team champions on Saturday, as the Sooners' Daniel Furney captured the all-around title. Sunday's competition will award individual titles in the still rings, vault, parallel bars, horizontal bar, floor exercise and pommel horse.
