Lawrenceville, NJ - Freshman Tyler Witmer tallied his fourth goal of the season in the Owls 3-0 win over Rider. The Owls offense was in full gear against the Broncos, recording 15 shots. The Cherry and White post their third shutout of the season, continuing their aggressive defensive play.
J.T. Noone needed no help on his game winning goal for the Owls, chipping his shot over Rider keeper Randall Zapolski.
The Owls rallied late to add to their total, with Brian Henderson finding Tyler Witmer for the Owls second tally of the match. Minutes later on a direct kick, Derek Ludlow found the foot of Jared Harris who found the back of the net. Keeper Bret Mollon made two saves on the day, now posting 21 saves on the season.
The Cherry and White improve to 4-3-0 on the season, and will pair up with city rival Penn on Sunday, at 3:30 p.m. at Ambler Sports Complex.
