Fordham Tops Temple, 1-0 :: Owls held scoreless on riany night in the Bronx

BRONX, NY - Einar Oddsson scored the lone goal of the game in the 24th minute to lead Fordham University to a 1-0 Atlantic 10 soccer win over Temple University on Jack Coffey Field. With the win, Fordham advances to 9-3-4 overall, 3-3-2 in the Atlantic 10, Temple falls to 2-13-1 overall, 1-7-0 in the conference.

On the goal, Ryan Brown put a header on net off a cross which Temple keeper Tony Pratico managed to save. The rebound bounced to a waiting Oddsson, who found the back of the net in the 24th minute.

Pratico finished with one save for Temple while Doug Devereaux made one save in the Fordham net to pick up his sixth shutout of the year. The Rams out-shot the Owls, 7-3, on the rainy night.

Temple will close out its season on Sunday afternoon with a road match at St. Bonaventure (1:00 pm).
