PHILADELPHIA - Temple University junior midfielder J.T. Noone has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Men's Soccer Academic All-America University Division First Team. The team is voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Noone is the fifth Owl to earn first team Academic All-America accolades. He joins Steve Wacker, who earned second team Academic All-Americaa honors in 2004.

An economics major, Noone has earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.88 for his college career, making the Dean's List every semester as well as the Atlantic 10 Conference Honor Roll. He was recently named to the Academic All-Atlantic 10 Conference team, and was also named to the President's Honor Roll at the University's 2007 Breakfast of Champions.

A three-year starter, Noone led the Owls and the Atlantic 10 Conference with thirteen assists, breaking the school record formerly held by Tony Donatelli (9, 2003). He also ranked second nationally in assists per game. The Harrisburg, Pa. native (Central Dauphin), tallied seven goals for a team-high 26 points, ranking fourth in the A-10 in points per game with 1.42. Noone's impressive offensive efforts garnered him first team All-Atlantic 10 Conference honors.

Noone helped lead the Owls to their best finish (10-5-4, 6-1-2 in A-10 play) since 2003, and to their first A-10 tournament appearance since 2004. Temple finished their season second in the conference, falling in the semifinals of the A-10 tournament to Dayton, 2-1.
