Head Coach David MacWilliams and the Temple Men's soccer team have announced the signing of seven recruits for the 2008 season. There are six freshmen joining the class of 2012, including Rodrigo Zuleta, Christopher Rio, Brian Keller, Tyler Witmer, Brian Wingfield, and Chris Velasquez. Transferring from Oakland University is goal keeper Bret Mollon, a junior.
The Temple men's soccer team played to 0-0 ties with Kutztown and Rider on Saturday afternoon at Rider College. The matches were 50 minutes long with 25 minutes halves. The Owls will play next Friday Night at Christopher Dock High in a doubleheader with the Temple women's team. The men's team will take on La Salle at 6:30 p.m. while the Temple women will play West Chester at 8:00 p.m. It will be a family-friendly atmosphere featuring activities for the kids and Hooter the Owl. Three Temple University standouts, John Boles, Benny McLaughlin and Larry Sullivan, will be inducted into the Inaugural North Catholic High School Soccer Hall of Fame on Sunday, March 30 at Romano's Caterers In Philadelphia. Temple's own Walter Bahr, a 1944 All-America selection at Temple, will serve as the keynote speaker for the event. Read More >
