PITTSBURGH, PA - Temple dropped its second straight, falling at Atlantic 10 rival Duquesne, 5-2. The Owls, missing two regulars from its normal lineup, fall to 3-4. Duquense improves to 7-1. Sophomore Nathan Spunda won in straight sets at first singles to improve to 4-1 in the spring season. Freshman Gonzalo De Villa notched the other singles win, posting a 3-6, 6-4 (7-5) victory over Gustavo Villares at the fourth slot. De Villa and Eduardo Saavedra dropped a tightly-contested first doubles match, 9-8 (7-4) as did Spunda and Zach Tobias, 9-8 (8-6) at the second slot. Philip Gegenheimer (shoulder) and Daniel Davis (academic committments) missed the match. The Owls next play at Saint Peter's on Wednesday (4:00 p.m.).
