PHILADELPHIA - The Temple men's tennis team dropped a tough 4-3 decision to Saint Joseph's Thursday afternoon. The Owls fall to 8-10 on the season while the Hawks improve to 5-8. The Owls opened play by winning the doubles point. Zach Tobias and Pavlos Stephanides fell at No. 1 doubles, but the duos of Nathan Spunda/Philip Gegenheimer and Daniel Davis/Eduardo Saavedra earned wins at No. 2 and 3 doubles, respectively, to give the Owls the point. Senior Daniel Davis and freshman Gonzalo De Villa captured Temple's lone singles wins, taking the second and sixth spots, respectively. The Owls (8-10) travel to Virginia Beach on Saturday to take on Old Dominion. The Monarchs are currently #20 in the nation. Saint Joseph's 4, Temple 3 TU Pavilion March 29, 2007 Singles 1.
