PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple University men's tennis team closed out the fall portion of their schedule at the Penn Classic on Halloween weekend. The Owls struggled at the invitational, failing to win a match.
Junior Yhonny Murray fell in straight sets to Penn's Tab Tobias, 6-1, 7-6. Senior Tyler Wynne was also unable to capture a set in a 6-2, 6-2 defeat to Columbia's Mark Clemente.
Freshman Kris Celtnieks stretched his match to three sets before falling to Penn's Joe Mirabile, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 while sophomore Matt Struble also won a set before succumbing to Princeton's Blaise Goswami, 6-4. 3-6. 6-0.
Murray and Wynne fell in their doubles match to Saint Joseph's Fransico Velasquez and Van Homer Panglinan, 8-4.
