PHILADELPHIA - Sophomore Joshua Louis and senior Amanda Cole have been named the Atlantic 10's Men's and Women's Indoor Track Performers of the Week respectively, the conference office announced.

Louis finished second in the high jump (6-6 1/4) and 60m hurdles (8.13) as the top Cherry and Wwhite performer at the Metropolitan Coaches Invitational over the weekend in New York. He also matched IC4A qualifying standards with his 8.13 time in the 60-meter hurdles.

Cole set a new school record and met ECAC standards in the weight throw with a distance of 55-1 at the meet. Cole finished in first place at the weight throw, breaking the record she had just set at her previous meet (54-9 ¾). She also finished second in the women's shot put (41-08 3/4).

This is the second time that the New Castle, Del. mative Cole has been named Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week, the previous time being the week ending March 24, 2008.  The award is the first for Louis, a native of Ramapo, N.J.,  and the first time a member of the Temple men's track & field team has been honored as the A-10 Performer of the Week since Marcos Edghill nearly one year ago to the day.
