LEWISBURG -- Finishing with a combined total of 16 points, the Temple University men's track team took eighth place at the Bucknell Octagonal this past weekend, January 25, 2003 in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
In the 400 meter dash, senior Bryant Adams led the way with a time of 50.70 followed by Dale Letterlough with a time of 51.14, Brian Innis with a time of 52.63, Christian Jensen at 54.59 and Spencer Dorsey with a time of 54.86. Freshman Chris Nelson ran the 500 meter dash with a time of 1:08.01 while Brian Reed ran the 800 meters with a time of 2:09.23. In the 200 meter dash, Letterlough had a time of 22.96, Innis had a time of 24.29 and Jensen ran with a time of 24.56.
In the long jump, sophomore Dwayne Shaw took 11th place with a distance of 6.55 meters while Craig Henry took 22nd place at 6.10 meters and Christian Johnson had a distance of 5.93 meters. In the triple jump, senior Robert Leite Young took fourth place with a distance of 14.35 meters while Henry took 10th place with a distance of 12.89 meters.
The men's 4X400 relay team took third place overall with a time of 3:25.11.
Next up for the men's indoor track team is the Penn State Invitational this weekend, January 31 in State College, Pa.
