PHILADELPHIA -- Senior Robert Leite-Young was named Most Outstanding Field Performer at the 2003 Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships after taking first place in the triple jump with a score of 14.58 meters. He also took third place in the long jump with a score of 6.60 meters. Overall, the men's track and field team placed fifth with a score of 77 at the championships.
Freshman William Fisher continued the Owls winning ways with an eighth place finish in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.45 and a third place finish in the 400 meter dash with a time of 49.91. Sophomore Dale Letterlough placed sixth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.57 and a fourth place finish in the 500 meter dash with a time of 50.28. Junior captain Bryant Adams took third place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.48 and third place in the 500 meter dash with a time of 1:04.76.
The men's 4X400 relay team placed fourth with a time of 3:22.96 while the 4X800 relay team took sixth place with a time of 8.58.62.
Jonathan Albright placed second in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 7.80 while Kevin Kelly placed fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 4.20 meters. Junior Dwayne Shaw took fourth place in the long jump with a score of 6.52 meters and eighth place in the triple jump with a score of 13.01 meters. Junior Craig Henry placed fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.55 meters.
