MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD COMPETE AT ECAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
 

 
 
 

 

 
 
PHILADELPHIA -- After breaking the Temple school record in the triple jump just last week at the Atlantic 10 Championships, senior Edith Lewis repeated the feat again this weekend, March 8 at the ECAC Championships, breaking her own record of 40'05. 50 with a fourth place finish and a score of 40'08. 75. Lewis also broke the Atlantic 10 record of 40'06.

Also at the ECAC Championships, sophomores Rachel Clinton (8.78), Jessica Dunston (8.80) and Jaweia Campbell (9.08) took ninth, eleventh and sixteenth place respectively in the 55 meter hurdles. Senior Aderonke Adeniyi took tenth place in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.68 and fourteenth place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.87. The women's 4X400 relay team took twelfth place with a time of 3.48.97 while the 4X800 team took sixteenth place with a time of 9:18.70.

In men's action, captain Bryant Adams finished eighteenth in the 500 meter dash with a personal best time of 1:04.37. Robert Leite-Young placed twelfth in the triple jump with a score of 14.20 meters. The men's 4X400 relay team finished 25th with a season best time of 3:16.25.

The Cherry and White now await the start of the outdoor season that begins on March 22 at the Penn Invitational.
