PHILADELPHIA -- With a combined score of 65, the Temple University Men's Track and Field Team placed sixth at the Atlantic 10 Championships held this past weekend, May 3-4.
In the sprints, freshman William Fisher placed eight in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.98. Junior Bryant Adams placed fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.67 while freshman William Fisher placed sixth with a time of 21.79. Adams them placed second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 48.26.
Sophomore Jonathon Albright placed second in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.98 while senior Tracy Champion finished third with a time of 15.15. In the 400-meter hurdles, Brain Reed finished in seventh place with a time of 59.84.
Dwayne Shaw, the lone Owls high jumper placed ninth with a score of 1.87 meters. Senior Robert Leite-Young placed second in the long jump with a score of 7.05 meters while senior Craig Henry placed fourth with a score of 6.83 meters. Leite-Young also participated in the triple jump where he placed fourth with a score of 13.96 meters.
Sophomore Kevin Kelly competed in the decathlon where he placed fifth with 4455 points.
In relays, the Owls placed fourth in the 4X100 with a time of 42.64 and the placed sixth in the 4X400 with a time of 3:25.70.
Next up for the Owls is the Eddie Hunt Invitational held this weekend, May 11 at Morgan State University.
