Temple University head men's and women's track and field coach Stefanie Scalessa has submitted her resignation to pursue other professional opportunities, director of athletics Bill Bradshaw announced today. Scalessa recently completed her fourth season directing the track and field team and her third season overseeing the recently-reinstated cross country program.

Senior Andrew Fries and sophomore Brad McFadden finished second in their events to lead Temple to a sixth place showing at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track Championship at the University of Massachusetts on Sunday. Fries recorded a distance of 191-6, while McFadden ran a IC4A qualifying-time of 53.53 and was edged by just 0.03 in the event. Read More >

Sophomore Tim Boeni had the best point total for the Owls, finishing fifth in the long jump (22-5) and sixth in the high jump (6-2 1/4).
