SAN DIEGO, CA -- The Temple Women's Crew competed at the San Diego Crew Classic this weekend.  In Saturday's  heat,  the Varsity 8 finished fourth  to earn a spot in Sunday's Cal Cup Petite Final.  The Owls finished a solid fifth in the final.

The Varsity 8  was comprised of Sarah Evancho (cox), Stephanie Hanlin (stroke), Rachel Jordan (7-seat), Nicole Warrick (6-seat), Ulana Luciw (5-seat), Leah Silverstein (4-seat), Regina Rahill (3-seat), Callie Gunnet (2-seat), and Kristen Herrmann (bow).  Sac State won the heat in 7:06.4 followed by Miami (7:09.38), Temple (7:18.97), Saint Joseph's (7:20.08), and UCI (7:33.81).

Trinity won the Petite Final in a time of 7:11.7 and was followed by UCSB (7:12.02), Villanova (7:14.48), Saint Joseph's (7:14.53), Temple (7:19.83), and USD (7:51.03).

The Cherry and White compete again in two weeks at the Knecht Cup in Collingswood, NJ.
