PHILADELPHIA - (Nov. 8) Several of the country's finest men's fencers competed at the 21st Annual Temple Open this past Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000. Razvan Danubius from Penn State University placed first in epee. The University of Pennsylvania's James Benson finished second. John Osborne (Cornell) and Matt Bouloubasis (Johns Hopkins) tied for third place in epee. Drew University's Richard Frank defeated Princeton's Terry Kim in the gold medal bout to win sabre. Victor Mohacsy (University of Florida) and Phillip Vincent (University of Pennsylvania) tied for third. Penn State won gold again in men's foil. Jonathan Charles defeated New York University's Aleksandr Nazarov in the gold medal bout. NYU's Nick Vial and Penn State's Joseph Brown tied for third.
