WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS PLACES SECOND IN TRI-MEET
 

 
 
 

 

 
 
PISCATAWAY, NJ.-The Temple women's gymnastics team (6-7) placed second with a score of 191.200 in a tri-meet on Saturday, Feb. 22 at Rutgers. Rutgers (12-8) defeated the Owls with a score of 193.950 (the third highest score in program history), Bridgeport College placed third with a score of 185.000. Temple was led by senior Cicely Warrington, who tied for first on the beam; Erin Davis captured second in the all-around, Paige Ozaroski and Lexi Zafferes added third place finishes on the bars. Rutgers was led by senior Kristen Marino, who posted record scores on the vault and bars.

Warrington finished in a tie for first place on the floor with a score of 9.800. Davis placed second in the all-around with recording a 37.750. Ozaroski and Zafferes tied for third place on the bars with scores of 9.80.

The Owls are ranked eighth in the Northeast region and are still in the hunt for an at large bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Owls defeated the Scarlet Knights earlier this season in a dual meet at Temple on Jan. 22.

Temple will next travel to Kingston, Rhode Island on Saturday, March 1 to compete against Rhode Island and West Virginia. The meet is schedule to start at 3p.m.
