PHILADELPHIA - Temple sophomore pitcher and first baseman, Bari Lynn Pflueger was named to the second team of the 2001 MidAtlantic Region All- American team as a utility player.
Pflueger, an Atlantic 10 All-Conference selection at firstbase is from Allentown, Pennsylvania and attended Parkland High School. During the regular season, Pflueger had 39 hits, including 12 extra base hits 9 doubles and 3 homeruns, scored 12 runs and produced 28 RBI's. Pflueger is third on the team in batting average (.275). She led the Owls in RBI's (28), doubles (9), homeruns (3), total bases (57), walks (22) and total plate appearances (167). In addition to playing firstbase, she appeared in 26 games as a pitcher producing 12-10 record with a 2.35 ERA.
Pflueger was a key factor in the Owls' 29-26 record overall and second place finish in the Atlantic 10 with a 15-6 record.
