MONROEVILLE, PA - The Temple University women's tennis team used a dominating singles performance to roll over Duquesne on Saturday. The victory marks the tenth for the Owls on the season. The Owls lost the doubles point, but came back strong to sweep all singles matches. Senior Yuri Kurashima defeated Johanna Bezjak in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, at the first singles slot. Junior Dina Senkina bested Jacqueline Hughes, 6-1, 6-7 (9-7), 10-8, in the closest match of the afternoon at the second position. Freshman Radka Ferancova downed Rebecca Poole at the third spot, 6-3, 7-5, while freshman Anastasiia Rukavyshnykova beat Rachel McGowan in three sets, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2, at fourth singles. Freshman Christine Clermont and sophomore Felicia Frazier won their matches in straight sets at the fifth and sixth spots, respectively. Temple (10-2) next plays on March 29 at Princeton.
