PHILADELPHIA -
Jill Breslin, who guided the Temple women's tennis team to the 2008 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament, has resigned her position at the University to return to Bryn Mawr as the women's tennis coach. She will also serve on the faculty at the suburban Philadelphia school.
"Jill was able to do great things at Temple in just one season, and we wish her well at Bryn Mawr," said Temple Director of Athletics Bill Bradshaw.
Named the A-10 Coach of the Year in her rookie campaign, Breslin became the first Temple women's tennis coach to earn that honor since Drew Sorrentino in 1994. The Absecon, N.J. native led the Owls to a 16-4 record and the program's second berth in the NCAA Tournament.
Breslin came to Temple after serving as the assistant women's tennis coach at Bryn Mawr in 2007. She has also served three years as the head women's tennis coach at Louisiana-Monroe (2004-06).
