PHILADELPHIA - Temple men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed this past weekend April 26 - 28 in the Penn Relays at Franklin Field.
The men placed fifth overall in the Wetzler/Pennsylvania 4x400m race with a time of 3:19.43. In the Sprint Medley Championship of America, Temple placed twenty-fifth overall (3:26.22). Freshman Jason Forbes placed eighth in the triple jump with a distance of 14.26m.
The women's relay team placed twenty-second overall in the Sprint Medley Championship of America with a time of 4:05.71. In the 4x100m and 4x200m relay's (ECAC) the Owls finished fifth (46.57) and second (1:36.35). The Owls also placed eighth in the 4x400m posting a time of 3:50.12. Sophomore Edith Lewis finished seventeenth in the triple jump (11.22m).
The Owls next competition is the Atlantic 10 Championships held at the University of Dayton on May 5 and 6.
