Diamond Gems Info
The mission of the Diamond Gems Dance Team as part of the Temple University Spirit Squad is to entertain, energize and inspire at designated Temple Athletic contests and promotional events at the direction of the administration of the Temple Department of Athletics. In addition, the dance team may participate in camps, competitions, clinic or other ancillary functions upon specific event-by-event approval of the athletic administration; this approval will be contingent upon a number of factors including (but not limited to) student supervision, financial resources and skill level.
The Diamond Gems Dance Team consists of approximately 14 - 16 members. The team covers all home football and men and women's basketball games.
In order to be eligible to join the Diamond Gem Dance Team, you must be registered as a full-time Temple student (a minimum of nine credit hours) and must have at least a 2.0 GPA. Transfer students and incoming freshman are also eligible for tryouts with proof of acceptance to the University.
