Clarke Named to Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Watch List

DALLAS, TEXAS – The watch list for the tenth annual Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award was announced Thursday, a group that includes 89 of the nation's top leaders in college football.
Senior tight end Peter Clarke is one of the faces of the program. His football story began at the NFL Academy in London, England, before coming over to the United States and becoming a star for the Owls. Clarke opened eyes in 2025 when he led Temple with six touchdown receptions on 30 catches for 483 yards. He sits two touchdowns away from breaking Temple's all-time record for receiving touchdowns by a tight end in their career.
Clarke is one of seven Temple TUFF single-digit wearers for the 2026 season, which at Temple, is a major honor. This tradition began in 2009 under former head coach Al Golden. Single digits are awarded to Temple's toughest players both on and off the field. They embody what it means to be Temple TUFF. These student-athletes are leaders among their peers and show up with a championship-level mindset every day.
The award, presented by Albertsons and Tom Thumb, is the first college football honor to focus primarily on a player's leadership, both on and off the field. Leadership is a term synonymous with Jason Witten, who, in addition to becoming one of the best tight ends in the history of the sport, served as one of football's most prominent role models during his 16-year pro career.
