Jahad Thomas, a first-team all-conference player a year ago, has continued where he left off last season. He scored a pair of touchdowns in each of his first six games, setting the school record for consecutive games with multiple touchdowns. This season he has nine rushing touchdowns and five scores as a receiver. Since the start of teh 2015 season he has 33 touchdowns, exceeded only by Boise State's Jeremy McNichols.

A multi-purpose back who is equally adept at running, receiving, returning, and picking up blitzes, Thomas has gained 1,130 yards in just eight games. He is second on the team in rushing (647), third in receiving yards (354), and is the leading punt returner on one of the nation's best units (14.4-yard average).
